Postdoc Position at Center for Imaging of Neurodegenerative Diseases

We are seeking a Post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Radiology. The candidate will perform clinical neuroscience research, with an emphasis on Alzheimer's disease. The main project will focus on elucidating effects of Alzheimer's disease caregiving on caregiver health using the Brain Health Registry (BrainHealthRegistry.org). Brain Health Registry (BrainHealthRegistry.org) is a large registry and cohort with the overall goal of facilitating clinical neuroscience research.  There are many other projects the candidate may also be involved in, including development of partnerships with those conducting Alzheimer's clinical trials, analysis of existing Brain Health Registry data, collection and analysis of biomarker data, and implementation of new content and improvements in the Brain Health Registry.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

•     Quantitative analysis of clinical neuroscience data from a large, longitudinal observational study

  • Work with Principal Investigator and Co-investigators to generate hypotheses,  plan analyses, and interpret data

•     Seeking out new funding opportunities and helping to write grants and proposals

•     Writing manuscripts and abstracts

Required Qualifications:

•     Doctorate degree or its equivalent

•     Neuroscience research experience, preferably clinical neuroscience

•     Data analysis experience

•     Biostatistics experience

Other Preferred Qualifications:

•     Experimental design and implementation experience

•     Experience conducting patient-centered research

•     Experience with statistical computing and visualization software or program is highly desired

•     Experience writing grants and other proposals
