Overview
Have you heard that you should create a LinkedIn profile, and wondered why? Do you have a half-finished profile hanging around? Does the prospect of creating a profile from scratch sound daunting (but maybe a little less daunting if there's free food)? If any of the above sound familiar, this event is for you!
Tools like LinkedIn are incredibly useful for expanding your network and landing career opportunities. You can benefit from these tools with a simple profile that requires a minimum of time and effort.
We will provide tips for setting up a profile, and be on hand to support you as you actually work on your own. Bring a charged laptop, come enjoy lunch, and leave with a complete profile!
Learning Goals
By the end of this session, you'll know how to:
- Describe the purpose of having a LinkedIn profile
- Identify the true profile "must-haves"
Speaker
David Blancha, PhD - Assistant Director, Career Development Team for Researchers, Office of Career and Professional Development
