Communication as an OSR Operations and Training Officer in Academia
Part of my job is to send out email communications to the staff and campus regarding updates to Sponsor and University policy. It is important that I can explain complex policies in a clear and concise manner. Additionally, I maintain our website, were I need to also communicate policies and procedures in a clear and concise manner. I also do virtual and in-person training for our staff and the campus. In my prior position in Office of Sponsored Research, I needed to email with faculty and sponsors.

In my current role, I work collaboratively with the rest of the Operations and Training staff to interpret policies and to update our procedures. I need to be able to edit, and comment on others training materials and communications. I also participate on committees to discuss changes and updates to UCSF policies and procedures.
