Application Materials Day

Overview

Preparing for job applications can be daunting, whether the employer is asking for a one-page resume or a 20-page packet of materials. Join us for Application Materials Day where we will cover strategies for preparing the most common application materials through a variety of bite-sized sessions. Come for any part of the day, and feel free to come and go based on your interests!

Lunch and snacks will be provided. Registration opens August 11, 2026.

Materials and Preparation

To make the most of this program, we strongly recommend you bring a job posting (either that you are interested in applying to, or a representative example of a posting you would be interested in applying to) to consult throughout the day. Additionally:

If you want peer feedback on a resume, please bring a draft with you that you can share with a neighbor.

You will have the opportunity to write a new cover letter (based on the job posting you bring with you) and get peer feedback. If you want peer feedback on a cover letter you have already written, please bring a draft with you that you can share with a neighbor.
