What types of position do we usually approve on handshake: 

  • Internships: paid, and geared toward post-graduate health and life science fields
     
  • Full-time positions: paid, and geared toward post-graduate health and life science fields
     
  • Temporary positions: paid, duration of position clearly defined, and geared toward post-graduate health and life science fields


What types of positions do we usually not approve?

  • Positions targeted to undergraduate populations (we do not have undergraduate programs).  We encourage you to register with handshake and select our sister UCs: Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles. Merced, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz. 
     
  • Caregiver positions: Our students and scholars seek opportunities related specifically to their sub-field specialties. If you need to fill for a caregiver job, we suggest posting with other institutions within Handshake, as well as LinkedInIndeedCraigslist (free), or by reaching out to specific caregiver agencies in your area.
