Employer Relations

If you wish to hire our students and postdoctoral scholars, we can help you!

Recruit from our community

Advertise to the broader UCSF community of students and postdocs

Seeking a targeted audience? UCSF has a number of listservs for various sub-populations of students and postdocs.

Partner with other career and professional development activities on campus

Contribute to our educational mission

Build a relationship with our community by:

  • Hosting an employer information session at UCSF. This is a great way to get the word out about what you company does and why you’d like to hire UCSF-trained scientists or health professionals.
  • Teaching a skills-based workshop to educate students and postdocs on the skills they need for your company/agency/institution. These workshops are excellent ways to network and recruit engaged scholars to your team!

Employer FAQs

How do I advertise an opportunity to UCSF students and postdocs?

To post for an open position, please register an account with us. Once your registration request is approved, you will be able to login and create a posting. Job postings will remain visible for 30 days. You may update, modify, or delete your posting at any time by logging into your account and editing your posting directly. We will not modify your job listing unless it breaches our stated criteria (see below).

What kinds of opportunities can I post?

The OCPD Opportunities and Job Board accepts the following types of open positions:

  • Internships – paid, and geared toward post-graduate health and life science fields
  • Full-time positions – paid, and geared toward post-graduate health and life science fields
  • Temporary positions – paid, duration of position clearly defined, and geared toward post-graduate health and life science fields

Why was my registration not accepted?

The OCPD Opportunities and Job Board is specifically tailored to our health and life science students and scholars. UCSF does not have undergraduates in any field of study. If your company/institution/agency does not have a clear affiliation with the health and life sciences fields, your registration may not be accepted. If you have additional questions, please email us at [email protected].

Why was my job posting deleted?

The OCPD Opportunities and Job Board is specifically tailored to our health and life science students and scholars. UCSF does not have undergraduates in any field of study. If your opportunity is not related to the health and life sciences fields, is unpaid, and/or is geared for undergraduate-level applicants, your posting may be deleted. If you have additional questions, please email us at [email protected].

Why don’t you allow postings for caregiver opportunities?

Our students and scholars seek opportunities related specifically to their sub-field specialties. If you need to fill for a caregiver job, we suggest posting with LinkedIn, Indeed, Craigslist (free), or by reaching out to specific caregiver agencies in your area.
