Are you negotiating for a faculty position?

Get resources for how to navigate this process during COVID-19

So you're interested in pursing an academic career. Fantastic! We've developed a tool to help you assess your competitiveness for faculty positions. ACRA - the Academic Career Assessment Readiness Tool - is based on a small study qualitiative research project that surveyed faculty on hiring committees to determine what skills and experience were common among highly rated and selected candidates. With that data, we developed a curriculum designed to prepare you for a faculty career.

What should you do first?

  1. Download our recommended Training Goals for Upcoming Professors and the corresponding OCPD Programs. (You can also download the list of training goals on their own.) Determine which programs are right for you.
  2. If interested, you can click here to read the research behind the Academic Career Readiness Assessment Tool, published at biorxiv.org.
